Guestbook

It is clear a that Doug and Lynn enjoy providing a unique and special holiday for their guests. It's fair to say we have never stayed anywhere with so many thoughtful touches and great ideas. We have enjoyed toasting marshmallows, playing boules, listening to music, playing the piano, star spotting in the hot tub, the sauna, games of jenga - and even sprint races on the artificial glass! And all this before leaving the house.
Thank you so much for a fabulous holiday! We also really appreciated the hamper!

What an amazing place!!
The house is spotless and you have everything you could possibly need. We all got a bit addicted to Bop It but were sadly not very good. The garden is wonderful. Having a hot tub, sauna and a grand piano was total bliss! Such a generous welcome hamper too!!!

This is one of the best plces we have stayed, really well-equiped (even an airfyer), warm and very comfortable. The music room was a joy, and the well-maintaied hot tub was just lovely!
The owners are very helpful and have lots of local knowledge. We are very impressed.

The holiday cottage was amazing. Hot tub sauna. A real home from home fully equipped cottage. — Miss Brooks, 19 Sep 2023
It is very clear that a great deal of thought and effort have gone into this let. Everything was lovely and the almost impossible task of missing nothing has been achieved. I hesitate to say this because I just made it harder to rebook!  — Mr G, 27 Mar 2023
Such a well equipped home. Kitchen had any and all appliance we would need, lots of little things were thought about like the separate beach towels, the abundance of single toiletries if anyone had forgotten and a thoroughly prepared welcome folder and personal welcome letter with local activities within our time frame of staying.
We went for a birthday and they very kindly left little birthday messages, a bunch of balloons and a little chocolate gift for the guest.
The welcome hamper was in abundance of local treats, milk, bread, granola, jam, eggs, cookies, crisps, marshmallows, gin, wine… and more. Perfect for a late arrival who has not got time for a shop before.
Beds were comfy and rooms weren’t overly fussy, little touches of personality on the walls downstairs but not overwhelming. Games were available, TV was able to stream Amazon Prime and BBC iPlayer, and WiFi worked great for us 4.
Outside was perfectly laid out, we used the fire pit and again it was so well prepared and stocked, the hot tub was warm on arrival and easy to use, and the music room was perfect for the vinyl lover in the group.
An amazing stay and we’ll definitely be back again in the future 🌟

A perfect stay! Lovely touches like the welcome hamper. The Old Chapel was spotless, cosy and luxurious. We would definitely stay again. — Miss Matthews, 19 Sep 2022
What a beautiful house! We could have spent the entirety of the holiday at the house and not felt the need to go elsewhere.

Owners were very helpful, gave us lots of information about local amenities, genuinely pleasant people. Lots of personal touches throughout the house, which was one of the best thought out holiday homes we've stayed in.

We all enjoyed the hot tub and firepit, had a go at the wood fired pizza oven, and we enjoyed watching the beautiful wildlife out of the kitchen window. Plus only half hour away from Brancaster, our favourite beach.

Will be booking again soon

Honestly, if I could give more stars, I would. This entire place was set out so thoughtfully that you really felt like you were a guest, and your host was trying to make everything perfect. The beds and bedrooms were comfortable and well-equipped, the kitchen was spotless and had everything you could need. The welcome hamper was full of delicious local products, and ensured that you would not have to shop for anything on arrival.

The fully-fenced garden made it easy to just let the dog play. The hedges on three sides made it private and not overlooked, and on the fourth it looks out over a field with some sheep off in the distance, so still private but not a feeling of being boxed in.

They have a guide book to tell you about the best local restaurants, walks, etc., and a bird identification book for looking out the kitchen window at the fully-stocked bird feeder.

The television is even set up so that you can use your own Amazon Prime account. Oh, and the wifi is also good. Wonderful.
